After more than a decade as a well-regarded North Texas musician ( first with Tarrant County-based pop poppins, more recently with his project TOOMuchTV ) and with a growing reputation as a painter, Broose is decamping for New York, fed up with what he says is a lack of support for the arts.
"One of the weird things about music and art is I have zero education in music _ all my education went to art, " says Broose, who sold the rights to his 1994 solo CD, " As an Individualist, " to Dallas Carpe Diem Records for $ 3, 000, which allowed him to study at the San Francisco Art Institute for several months.
