1. Paradox, now in its 11th version, is a constituent of Corel's Windows 1.0 in 1993, which was then owned by Borland Corporation, ObjectPAL was born.
2. Although there are many fans of ObjectPAL, the programming language for Paradox / Windows, PAL / DOS scripts could not easily be migrated; the object and event models were completely different, forcing developers using PAL to completely rewrite their database applications.
