Araldite ( a brand name ) potting compound has been suggested for certain automotive applications.
The design is also one of the first in the world to use araldite to glue the precast structural elements together and proved the concept for future use.
It was then completed with three Tri-Sonic pick-ups but re-wound them with reverse wound / reverse polarity and " potted " the coils with Araldite epoxy to reduce microphonics.
As to the Araldite : the 2-part epoxies soften-- I once lovingly made an epoxy turntable for my mom, when her glass turntable broke ( and the replacement turntable was found to cost almost as much as a new oven-- I wonder what my seal is going to cost ! ).
