• Araldite ( a brand name ) potting compound has been suggested for certain automotive applications.
• The design is also one of the first in the world to use araldite to glue the precast structural elements together and proved the concept for future use.
• It was then completed with three Tri-Sonic pick-ups but re-wound them with reverse wound / reverse polarity and " potted " the coils with Araldite epoxy to reduce microphonics.
• As to the Araldite : the 2-part epoxies soften-- I once lovingly made an epoxy turntable for my mom, when her glass turntable broke ( and the replacement turntable was found to cost almost as much as a new oven-- I wonder what my seal is going to cost ! ).
