• This genus markedly differs from " Echinodorus " by a typical paniculate inflorescence shaped as a regular pyramid.
• "Echinodorus cordifolius " is very easily recognized, as it is the only species with arching to decumbent inflorescences.
• Other aquatic plants that may serve the same purpose include : " Valisneria spiralis " and " Echinodorus cordifoliu ".
• Broad-leaved plants, such as Anubias or Echinodorus and floating vegetation are also recommended, as the fish like to roost under these.
