mansonia การใช้
- A study published in 2013 determined that the species " Mansonia dyari"
- Some other species, for example members of the genus " Mansonia ", lay their eggs in arrays, attached usually to the under-surfaces of waterlily pads.
- Mosquitoes of the genus " Mansonia " complete their life cycle only in the presence of aquatic plants such as " Pistia ", laying their eggs under the leaves.
- Zika has been detected in many more species of " Aedes ", along with " Anopheles coustani, Mansonia uniformis ", and " Culex perfuscus ", although this alone does not incriminate them as a vector.
- In particular there is concern about the prevalence of " Rickettsia felis " in regions such as parts of sub-Saharan Africa, in mosquito genera such as " Anopheles ", " Aedes ", " Mansonia ", and " Culex "; all of these genera include species that are challenging to control and have long been recognised as effective vectors of various important human and animal diseases.
- Genetically it most closely related to Nakiwogo virus, isolated from " Mansonia " mosquito in Uganda, and clustered more broadly with " Culex "-associated viruses, such as " Culex flavivirus " ( CxFV ) . In one experiment in 2016, when cultivated mosquito [ " Aedes albopictus " ( C6 / 36 ) ] cells were preinfected with PCV, human-pathogenic viruses such as Murray Valley encephalitis viruses were found to be unable to develop in the infected cells.
