• Some notable species are Gmelina arborea, Mesua ferrca.
• They nest in holes in trees ( often tall " Mesua ferrea " species Individuals have been observed feeding on the leaves of " Loranthus longiflorus ".
• Another batch of larvae on the same host ( " Mesua " ) were darker, especially the dorsal line which was blackish flanked by broadish dull white lines.
• Any of these  " Magnolia champaca ", Plumeria, or " Mesua ferrea "  may be used to prepare the perfume mixture for Nag Champa scent.
• "' Nagkesar oil "'is extracted from seeds of the nagkesar tree ( " Mesua ferrea ", ornamental for its fragrant white flowers that yield a perfume.
• The mountain consists of soaring and lofty trees of Mesua ferrea, Bischofia javanica, Vitex Altissima to smaller trees of Dillini a species of festooning climber, shrubs, valuable herbs, variety of orchids, two types of canes and many indigenous palms and cycads.

• Some varieties are Hollokh ( Terminalia myriocarpa ), Ajhar ( Lagerstroemia speciosa ), Simolu ( Bombax ceiba or Salmalia malabarica ), Sum ( Machilus ), Gomari ( Gmelina arborea ), Sisu ( Dalbergia sissoo ), Silikha ( Terminalia chebula ), Neem ( Azadirachta indica ), Nahar ( Mesua ferrea ) etc . Wild elephants, buffaloes, tigers, deer etc . are there in the forests.
• The important species of overwood are Dipterocarpus mncrocarpus, Mesua ferrea, Castanopsis indica, Shorea assamica, Vatica lanceaefolia, Amoorn wallichii, Dysoxylum hinectiferum etc . The other species found in understorey are Garcinia lanceaefolia, Michelia muni, Baccaureu supida, Bischqfia javanica, Myristica limifolia etc . The shrub and herb layer has Glochidion spp ., Alpinia spp ., Mallotus philippinensis, wild banana, tree fern, pepper etc . The ground cover mainly has Melnstoma, Leea and other species.
