- The "'Myricaceae "'are a small family of dicotyledonous shrubs and small trees in the order Fagales.
- Proteoid roots are now known to occur in 27 different Proteaceae genera, plus around 30 species from other families, including Betulaceae, Casuarinaceae, Eleagnaceae, Leguminosae, Moraceae and Myricaceae.
- The best known families of which all species tested contain tannin are : Aceraceae, Actinidiaceae, Anacardiaceae, Bixaceae, Burseraceae, Combretaceae, Dipterocarpaceae, Ericaceae, Grossulariaceae, Myricaceae for dicot and Najadaceae and Typhaceae in Monocot.
- Cultural layers I and II have various floristic compositions, which means that there is only sporoplasm ( Polypodiaceae, Cyatheaceae ) but not pollen; and vice versa, there is only pollen ( Chenopodiaceae, Leguminosae, Rubiaceae, Myricaceae, Mzliaceae, Fagaceac ) but not sporoplasm in cultural layer II.
