• The polyproteins are then processed by enzymes that are encoded by ORF1a.
• It includes Gag polyproteins from several avian endogenous retroviruses.

• The polyproteins are then transported to the Golgi apparatus, glycosylated and cleaved to produce two glycoproteins : one surface and one transmembrane.
• It encodes 3 proteins ( O1, O2, O3 ), two of which are polyproteins, that is, they are cleaved into fragments which carry out the actual functions of the virus ( see figure ).
