• The herbs " Boerhavia repens " and " Sesuvium portulac " astrum round out the known vegetation.
• There are also areas of freshwater marsh and coastal savanna grassland, the latter composed mainly of " Sesuvium portulacastrum " with various grass species associations.
• Other stabilizing vegetation includes the sand-hugging sea purslane ( Sesuvium portulacastrum ) and the goats-foot morning glory ( Ipomea pes-caprae ), but, again, finding these commercially is difficult.
• On the sandy mudflats in the west grows Shoreline Seaside Purslane, in Swahili called " mboga pwani ", " the vegetable of the ebb ", with its official botanical name Sesuvium portulacastrum ( See note 2 ).
