• It did not include the Bromeliaceae and Mayaceae, but had the additional families Prioniaceae ( now included in Thurniaceae ), Sparganiaceae ( now in Typhaceae ), and Hydatellaceae ( now transferred out of the monocots; recently discovered to be an'early-diverging'lineage of flowering plants ).
