• It originates on the superomedial aspect of the patella and inserts in the space between the adductor tubercle and the medial femoral epicondyle.
• The "'external nose "'is supplied with blood by the facial artery, which becomes the angular artery that courses over the superomedial aspect of the nose.
• The surgeon then evaluates the tissue-thickness of the medial pedicle flap, and its physical capability for rotating in a superomedial direction ( above and to the center ) with no resultant torsion tension to the tissue of the inferior portion of the pedicle; afterwards, the surgeon reduces the tissue thickness of the skin pedicle.
