  • The centre of the circumcircle, called the circumcentre, can be considered a centre of the polygon.
  • For a triangle the circumcentre is a point equidistant from each of the three bisector of an angle of any polygon is equidistant from the two sides that emanate from that angle.
  • If a polygon is both tangential and cyclic, it is called bicentric . ( All triangles are bicentric, for example . ) The incentre and circumcentre of a bicentric polygon are not in general the same point.
  • Rather similar to the angle-bisector questions above, is it possible to determine the sides of a triangle, given the perpendicular distances from the circumcentre to the sides ? & 81.151.247.173 00 : 09, 4 February 2007 ( UTC)
  • :: Using Google Earth's measurement tool ( which gives the great circle distance ) and its idea of the centre of each city and some ruler geometry, I get a point roughly 10 miles SW of Ashbury, near Chiseldon in Wiltshire, for the circumcentre ( almost exactly bisecting the Cardiff / London path ).
