• "Thiobacillus caldus " was reclassified into " Acidithiobacillus ", one of three new genera ( also including " Halothiobacillus " and " Thermithiobacillus " ) created to further classify members of the genus which fall into the alpha-, beta-, and gamma-classes of the Proteobacteria .
