• Tuftsin binds to specific phagocytic, bactericidal, and tumoricidal activity.
• Leucovorin rescue is a therapeutic maneuver intentionally employed with antifolates to achieve tumoricidal drug concentrations that would otherwise be lethal to the patient.
• In an " in vitro " model using HL-60leukemia cells, protocatechuic acid showed an antigenotoxic effect and tumoricidal activity.
