• Nepoviruses are transmitted between plants by nematodes, varroa mites and honeybees.
• The virions are also slightly heavier than that of other Nepoviruses at 60, 000 daltons.
• Nepoviruses are classified as type IV viruses under the Baltimore classification system, and consequently contain bipartite, linear, single stranded positive sense RNA genomes.
• Nepoviruses, viruses that serve as natural hosts, are transmitted through three different species of nematodes, they are : " Xiphinema, Longidorus " and " Paralongidorus ".
• I . Bymoviruses, comoviruses, nepoviruses, nodaviruses, picornaviruses, potyviruses, sobemoviruses and a subset of luteoviruses ( beet western yellows virus and potato leafroll virus )  the picorna like group ( Picornavirata ).
